Heat pumps & HVAC in Newport, RI

Newport homes are rarely simple: tall multi-floor houses, finished third floors, tight framing and, near the water, basements that fall under flood-zone rules. We design around all of that.

One approach we use in larger Newport houses is ducted heat pump systems for the basement, first and second floors, with a multi-zone system of wall units or ceiling cassettes on the third floor. Whole-house ERVs and dehumidifiers are common add-ons. For bigger projects we install LG Multi V VRF heat recovery, which zones each area independently.

In flood zones, basement duct is hard metal, sealed, insulated and wrapped with waterproof covering to meet FEMA requirements. No flex duct below the floor.
